RETAIL OPERATIONS MANAGER

SUMMARY

BOLD Apparel is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on Retail Operations Manager to oversee our warehouse operations, customer service, inventory management, and fulfillment processes. This role is responsible for creating efficient systems, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring a smooth customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in retail operations, a passion for faith-based business, and the ability to turn vision into actionable processes.

This is a hybrid role, reporting to the Executive Team, with an expectation to be on-site at our warehouse location as needed.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Efficiency & Process Creation

  • Develop and implement systems for inventory management, supply chain, printing, shipping, fulfillment, and customer service to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ensure timely order processing and shipping, reducing delays between order placement and delivery.

  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations, customer service, and fulfillment processes.

  • Oversee warehouse organization to optimize space and workflow.

  • Provide hands-on support as needed in printing, embroidery, inventory, packing, and shipping, especially during peak seasons.

Customer Service & Experience

  • Train staff on customer service best practices to ensure timely and professional responses to inquiries.

  • Create a customer service workflow that guarantees all concerns are addressed within 72 business hours.

  • Step in to handle escalated customer service issues when necessary.

Inventory & Vendor Management

  • Develop a system for accurate inventory tracking to reduce errors and prevent stock shortages.

  • Implement reordering processes to ensure products are always in stock.

  • Negotiate pricing and manage vendor relationships to optimize supply costs and quality.

  • Oversee procurement of garments and materials to meet production needs.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and train a small team responsible for printing, shipping, fulfillment, and customer service.

  • Assist in hiring and firing decisions (final approval remains with executive leadership).

  • Foster a motivating, faith-filled, and fun work environment while maintaining a high level of productivity.

Budgeting & Technology

  • Create and maintain budgets for operations, inventory, and supply management.

  • Utilize e-commerce tools, inventory management software, and project management tools (preferably Monday.com) to streamline operations.

  • Stay up to date with technology trends that could improve efficiency and customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must reside in the Atlanta Metro area

  • 7+ years of customer service and/or hospitality experience.

  • 5+ years in retail operations or warehouse management.

  • 5+ years in a leadership role, managing teams and operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).

  • Passion for clothing retail operations and e-commerce.

  • Experience with inventory management systems, project management tools (e.g., Monday.com), and e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify).

  • Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to turn big ideas into actionable steps.
